Michael Gibson, founder of Irish Liquid Gold, immersed in hospitality since his teens, journeyed from waiter to bar management, with education in Belfast and Plymouth University.
Post-university, Michael globetrotted, gaining diverse industry insights. From bartender to O'Neill's Irish bar proprietor in Varna, Bulgaria (sold in 2009), his global experience spanned UK, Ireland, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Austria, USA, France, Greece, and Bulgaria.
In 2018, he returned to Ireland as Food and Beverage Manager at Kilkea Castle, deepening his passion for Irish whiskey. Co-founding the Carlow Whiskey Society and building connections in Ireland's drinks industry, Michael plans to establish a consulting business, sharing Irish whiskey expertise globally.
